Frequently Asked Questions

Sugar is a golden paste made of three natural ingredients. Sugar, lemon and water. It’s chemical free and so natural, you can eat it!

Yes! sugaring is a gentle, natural method of hair removal that uses a simple blend of sugar, lemon juice, and water. Unlike traditional waxing, sugaring adheres only to the hair and not the skin, making it a less abrasive option that is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin.

This method removes hair in the natural direction of growth, which helps minimize breakage, reduces irritation, and lowers the risk of ingrown hairs. Because the paste is applied at body temperature and made from natural ingredients, it is a safer, more comfortable alternative to waxing.

  • 100% natural ingredients with no synthetic additives

  • Less irritation and redness compared to waxing

  • Removes shorter hairs (as short as 1/16 inch)

  • Water-soluble paste allows for easy cleanup

  • Suitable for sensitive skin and delicate areas

  • Can lead to finer, softer regrowth over time

Sugaring is ideal for clients seeking a more natural and skin-friendly approach to hair removal.

We recommend you grow your hair out two weeks post shaving and 4 weeks post waxing. Hair should be 1/8 of an inch (length of a grain of rice).

For the best results, make sure your hair is long enough—ideally about the length of a grain of rice so the sugar paste can grip it effectively. Avoid shaving for at least 10 to 14 days before your visit.

Gently exfoliate the area a day or two before your appointment to remove dead skin cells and help prevent ingrown hairs. On the day of your appointment, keep the area clean and avoid applying any lotions, oils, or deodorants, as these can affect how well the sugar adheres to the hair.

It’s also best to avoid sun exposure or tanning before your session, as this can make the skin more sensitive. Wearing loose, comfortable clothing to your appointment can help reduce irritation afterward, especially if you're receiving a bikini or body treatment.

If you’re unsure about anything or have specific skin concerns, feel free to reach out before your appointment.

Although sugaring is a more gentle method of hair removal, it is still hair removal. Anytime you extract a hair from the hair follicle, you’re going to feel some degree of pain. On the bright side, pain is substantially reduced if you consistently sugar, and because sugar doesn’t stick, or cause damage to the skin, you won’t have any stinging or burning once the service is completed.
